The San Bernardino County Registrar of Voters has the 2018 filing guide for candidate as a downloadable pdf on its website. Log on to www.sbcountyelections.com and click on the tab, “Elected Officials & Candidates.” Scroll down to Candidate Information and click on “2018 Statewide General Election.”
It’s highly recommended to craft a Candidate Statement to be included on the sample ballot. The instructions and form are in the section below the filing guide. There will be a charge for the statement, but it could be the only thing a voter knows about you. A well-written statement enhances your chances to “make the sale” on November 6.
