Join the Morongo Basin Democratic Club and support our work for honest government, safe schools and keeping our wilderness pristine. Our membership form is available to download here or you can scroll down and fill it in right here!
Dues are payable July 1. Due to the current circumstances, the Club is happy to accept dues from those able to pay; however, we are also happy to waive fees this year for anyone who needs it. Please send us an email or a note to P.O. Box 550, Joshua Tree, CA 92252. This will allow us to keep you on our active member list. Please also remember to send us your current member contact information.
You don’t need a PayPal account to join: a credit or debit card will work just fine. Or come to a meeting and pay by check, debit, or credit card. We meet the second Saturday of every month at Bruce’s Place on the campus of Copper Mountain College, beginning with an optional breakfast ($10) at 9 AM. (Because of the pandemic, meetings are currently taking place online. Please join us by internet or by phone!)
Please renew your membership annually! Dues are payable each July 1 for the upcoming year. Also: please complete the membership form annually, so we can be sure we have your up-to-date information. We need your email address to keep you informed of events, and we’d like your phone number, too (we won’t sell it!).
Donate to our Scholarship Fund or General Fund
You are also welcome to donate to the Club: we have a scholarship fund that contributes to local students headed to college that could definitely use your support! And if you’d like to donate a little extra to the Club to help our ongoing mission of promoting Democratic Values in the Morongo Basin, we would be grateful! Please note that donations are not tax-deductible.
Donate to the Coalition for Social Justice
Introducing the Morongo Basin Coalition for Social Justice!
We have formed the Morongo Basin Coalition for Social Justice, an offshoot of the Democrats of the Morongo Basin, and we have contracted a billboard to display “Hate is too great a burden to bear” [M.L. King, Jr]. We wanted “Black Lives Matter” on the billboard but the corporate owners of the billboards will not allow that message so we have opted for the King quote. The billboard is at the junction of Bonair and Highway 62. It faces the westbound lanes. This is the first of we hope many ways in which we work for Social Justice. We need donations to make the billboard happen. You may send them to the Democrats of the Morongo Basin through the paypal link below, or email us for other options.
