Online meeting April 11, 2020

We had our first online special meeting with general membership and guest speaker Dawn Rowe, newly-elected District 3 representative to the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors, who responded to our questions about the COVID-19 situation in the Morongo Basin. The meeting was recorded, and is presented in four parts as follows:

1: Meeting begins; Q&A with Dawn Rowe.

2: Q&A with Dawn Rowe continues.

3: Meeting continues after Dawn Rowe leaves.

4: Meeting concludes.

Key takeaways: there’s a County hotline at (909) 387-3911 M-F 9-5 where you can get answers to your COVID-19 questions. There’s a County “warmline” available 7 am to 7 pm daily, for behavioral health questions and help–this is not a crisis hotline, but if you are having trouble coping, call (760) 956-2345.

Drive-through testing for symptomatic persons continues periodically at various locations throughout the County; the Morongo Basin will have local testing on Wednesday, April 22, 10 am to 2 pm, on the Copper Mountain College campus. Registration and more information will be available on the County COVID-19 page (the information will appear 2-3 days before scheduled testing dates). That page, and the State of California page, have lots of good information and links.
