Help is Needed

Here are three organizations that offer direct and compassionate help for the people seeking entry into the United States.  Please, as you are able, offer them your support.  They are all small direct action/ direct service orgs making a big difference.
 
1.  Al Otra Lado – a California non-profit providing legal services to indigent refugees, deportees, & migrants.  
 
2.  ALDEA is a people’s justice center in Pennsylvania – a community for refugees, migrants & others in need of help.  Their work is expanding as they reach out to individuals in the midst of this unconscionable situation.  https://aldeapjc.org/
 

3.  El Paso Detainee Solidarity Committee – 

https://dmscelpaso.wixsite.com/dmscelpaso – these people helped free the last hunger striker from Adelanto by putting up half ($1500) for Roberto bail bond. They do excellent work
 
4.  Kino Border Initiative:  They offer solace, aid & comfort mostly in Arizona.  https://www.kinoborderinitiative.org/

 

Those of us who cannot go and directly offer help can do enormous good through financial support.
Another issue:  The children are in age determined groups. The small children are together.   There are rigid rules.  The workers cannot cuddle or physically comfort the children.  They cry inconsolably and are not comforted !  This is unimaginable cruelty.
