Local Ballot Measures:

Measure C (Morongo Unified School District) – up to $88,300,000 in bonds for construction, renovation, equipment such as computers, phys ed equipment, etc.).

Measure K (San Bernardino County) – increasing the Transient Occupancy Tax to 11% (from 7%). This will continue the current model of tossing all of that tax money into the County General Fund, with no guarantee of money coming back to the communities bearing the brunt of tourism.

Measure L (San Bernardino County) – increasing specific County salaries (including Sheriff and DA) to be comparable to L.A., Orange, Riverside, San Diego and Ventura counties, as well as 4% annual cost of living increases. Paying people well is very important; however, our cost of living in San Bernardino County is decidedly lower than in L.A. County or Orange County. In the past, some similar salary propositions have excluded L.A. County.

Measure Y (Yucca Valley only) – extending the current Measure Y sales tax (0.5%) to help fund infrastructure, maintenance and law enforcement. This continues the current model of oversight.

Measure Z (Yucca Valley only) – extending the current Measure Z sales tax  (0.5%) toward sewer construction costs.
